Tex Mex burger

A fusion of American and Mexican cuisine for this beast of a burger!

Serves: 4
Time: 30 minutes


  • 4 steakhouse burgers
  • 320g of chilli con carne
  • 50g of jalapeño peppers
  • 100g of guacamole
  • 40g of sour cream
  • 50g of tortilla chips
  • 1 beef tomato
  • 1 lettuce
  • 80ml of light mayonnaise 
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 4 Monterey Jack cheese slices


To begin with:

  • 1. Grill the burger to your liking and keep it warm
  • 2. Slice the tomato and cos lettuce. Keep chilled until required
  • 3. Put your chilli con carne in a pan and heat until it is ready. Keep it warm.

To build the burger:

  • 1. Toast the buns and keep warm
  • 2. Top the base of the bun with mayonnaise 
  • 3. Build up with the cos and tomato
  • 4. Top with the burger and cheese slices.
  • 5. Grill it until the cheese is slightly melted. Then top with the tortilla chips, warmed chilli, guacomole, sour cream and jalapeños
  • 6. Finish it with a bun on top!
